Capsule Wardrobe, Fall Edit.

For several years now, I’ve tried to make my closet feel more like a collection. Every season, I like to add a handful of pieces that I adore and know I will cherish for years to come. I compare it to my collection of ceramics — I buy not in bulk, but a piece or two every so often, and overtime, a collection of loved pieces coexist together.

When I collect pieces for my closet, I try to cater towards pieces with classic silhouettes, quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, and beautiful materials — pieces that truly stand the test of time.

That said, I will have fun with a trend if it resonates. Recently, I have loved the 90’s comeback—the casual, loose-fitting styles—so I have absolutely had some fun with this trend. Also, for the amount of times I “rewear” my clothing, I feel I get my cost out of all the trends I invest in (for example, I’ll take the trend item I consider buying and divide it by the amount of times I foresee myself wearing it — a cost per wear analysis).

Autumn is my favorite season to dress for, so I thought it’d be fun to share the items I keep rewearing this time of year. Many of these items I have already had in my closet (and rewear, rewear, rewear) but I also invested in a couple new ones this year as well.

Call it a Fall capsule collection, if you will!
